Conversion process

August 29th, 2007 in Google

One of the advantages of doing an internship with Google is the opportunity to convert to full time employee. The process is quite slow (as all recruiting in Google): you need feedback from a couple of people, then two or more interviews, fill in some information and your application enters the system! In my case I’ve done all the paperwork, talked to my recruiter, mentor, etc. and only the waiting is left!

My internship finishes this Friday, the last day of August, and I’ll know whether I have an offer on the following Friday, September 7th. A bit more than a month for the whole process… Not so much now that I think about it. It can be 6 months for the regular process! So, if you are planning to apply for Google start now ;)

The conversion rate for interns is quite high and I think I’ve done a good job, so I’m possitive about the outcome. But just in case… keep crossing your fingers for me! ;)

So, good luck! I don’t think you’ll have problems conquering the position. And, by the way, happy birthday (it’s also next week, isn’t it?)
